Red Baron French Bread Pizza in the Air Fryer
By AnoyUpdated Last reviewed How we calculate
Cook a frozen Red Baron French bread pizza in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes, until the cheese bubbles and the bread edges are crisp. The usual oven directions are around 375°F for about 20 minutes; follow your box if it differs.

Why this differs from the standard conversion
The standard oven to air fryer rule would turn 375°F for 20 minutes into 350°F for 16 minutes. French bread pizza is short and close to the heating element, so the cheese and bread edges brown long before the general rule’s time is up. A slightly lower temperature lets the middle heat through before the top scorches.
Step by step
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Unwrap the pizza and place it in the basket; trim it to fit if needed.
- Air fry for 10–12 minutes, until the cheese bubbles.
- Let it cool for 2 minutes; the sauce stays very hot.
How to tell it’s done
Leftovers and pre-cooked foods should be reheated to 165°F (74°C). Check with an instant-read thermometer in the thickest part; see theFoodSafety.gov safe minimum temperature chart.
Tips
- If the cheese browns before the bread is hot, lay a small piece of foil loosely over the top for the last few minutes.
- Cut long pieces in half to fit smaller baskets.
- The same setting works for most frozen French bread pizzas.
Different box or recipe?
Package and recipe directions vary. Enter the oven temperature and time from yours and the calculator converts them with the standard rule. For this food, treat its result as an upper limit and check from the time given above.

Accuracy and limitations
These times are starting points built from typical oven directions, converted with the same rules as the calculator. They are not lab measurements, and your food and appliance will differ.
- Appliances vary. Wattage, basket size and how close the element sits to the food change cooking speed. That’s why every result includes a “check at” time.
- Load matters. A full or stacked basket cooks more slowly than a single layer.
- Temperature limits. Many basket air fryers stop at 400°F (200°C). Converted settings above that are flagged.
- Poor fits for any formula: wet batters, delicate cakes, low-and-slow recipes and roasts over an hour. Use a thermometer and expect to adjust.
- Food safety comes from internal temperature, not time. Check meat, poultry, seafood and leftovers against the USDA safe minimum temperatures.
- Packaging wins. If your box prints air fryer directions, follow them.

Frequently asked questions
How long do you cook Red Baron French bread pizza in the air fryer?
About 10–12 minutes at 350°F (175°C), from frozen. Start checking at 9 minutes, because baskets with the element close to the food brown faster.
Can you cook French bread pizza in the oven instead?
Yes: around 375°F for about 20 minutes on the middle rack, or whatever your box says.
Why is the bottom of my French bread pizza soft?
It needs air underneath. Place it directly on the basket or rack, not on a solid liner.
Times are starting points; air fryers vary. Always check doneness with a thermometer. Want everything on one page? See the air fryer cooking times chart.
