Principles
- Answer first. Every page opens with the direct answer, then explains it.
- Show the working. Calculator results print their arithmetic, and every tool page shows its formula.
- One set of numbers. Pages never hand-type conversion results; they are generated from the published methodology.
- Say what we don’t know. Each tool and food page lists its limitations. Where a general rule is a poor fit, the page says so.
Sourcing
Food safety temperatures come from FoodSafety.gov (USDA/FDA). Gas marks use the standard UK table. Appliance limits are described as common ranges, not universal rules, and readers are pointed to their own manuals. Brand names are used only to describe products accurately; Oven to Air Guide is not affiliated with any brand mentioned.
Review process
- Anoy writes or edits every page and checks its numbers against the methodology before publishing.
- Each page shows an Updated date (content changed) and a Last reviewed date (numbers re-checked, even if nothing changed).
- Pages are due for review at least every 180 days, and immediately when a formula changes.
Corrections
Email hello@oventoairguide.com with the page, the numbers you entered and what you expected. Reports are checked against the methodology. Confirmed errors are fixed, the page’s Updated date changes, and anything beyond a typo is recorded in the change log.
Advertising and independence
The calculators are free. The site may show ads in the future; if it does, ads will be clearly separated from the calculator and will never influence the formulas or results. No page is paid for by a brand. If affiliate links are ever added, they will be labeled on the page where they appear.
Use of software and automation
Charts and tables are generated by code from the published formulas, which is what keeps them consistent. Written content is reviewed by Anoy before it is published, whatever tools were used to draft it.
